Pass this way…
December 19, 2012
I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again. ~ William Penn
For the Children
Let us have a heart
For children everywhere.
A mind to think
On their behalf,
With love and sacrifice.
Hands,
To touch,
To do,
To create the evidence
Of our love
And their worth.

Have a heart that never hardens, and a temper that never tires, and a touch that never hurts. ~ Charles Dickens

Paulann… The saying by William Penn was framed and hung in our home and I probably read it every day as I grew up in Corpus. Your poem is beautiful. Thank you for your dedication to your life long mission to help those in need.
Thank you for your kind response. We could all stand to begin and end each day thinking and acting on Penn’s words.
Noble is a life journey with the purpose of leaving this world a better place through love and enlightenment. Your heartfelt poem is such an inspiration, Paulann. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you, Carol! I agree this life can be a noble journey, made up of simple, but steady footprints of kindness. It’s a journey made better by the company of fellow travelers like you.
